Aw, man…

I don’t think Banquo would even be slightly curious.

Manga Studio has never let me down for the last 2-3 years. I never had any trouble, and if something crashed to make me lose work, it would be because of another program or a power outage. I trust it blindly.
I’m not sure if this is a known bug, or if it’s because my PC was so bogged down that day, but Manga Studio let me down hard the other day.
I’m working on a two-page spread. My pages are set up to load separately, but I combined these two pages. (Because, well, two-page spread!) It warns you, if you combine them, you will lose those pages’ sketch layers. I haven’t drawn anything yet, so I combine, nothing happens. Later on, I restart my PC, and open MS again. Now, my story file was almost full. And now it looks like this:

I thought maybe it’s just a visual bug, so I open random single blank pages, maybe they’ll show up again. Nope. It’s blank, one layer. I open the page directly. Same thing.

24 pages all gone. Now, I save all the pages as PSD files as well. But they’re exported to print size, one layer. It’s going to be FUN FUN when I have to do corrections for those pages. orz

What an awful glitch! Hopefully you aren’t required to make many corrections.

Speaking of comicking apps… a few years ago I remember you were using ComicWorks 2. You seemed happy enough with it that even now I’m considering buying it. Do you consider Manga Studio a better application than CW2 (aside from MS losing half your work this week)?

I prefer Manga Studio EX for one thing: the perspective ruler. If it didn’t have that, I’d probably would have stuck with ComicWorks 2. It’s too bad the manual doesn’t really explain how to use it properly, it took about a day or so to figure out how to use it. Manga Studio has a ton other nice but useless features, but I reallyreallyreally like the perspective ruler best.
